Bird on Wire

Auto Bingo minus Bird on Wire.I was driving up to the snow with my family this week, and playing Auto-Bingo on the way. Strangely, the one square none of us could fill was the “Bird on Wire” square. Well, we did fake the “Water Tower” and “Tollgate” squares, seeing as we live on the West Coast and it’s pretty unlikely that we’d ever see one of those here. Oh and then there was the “Cow” square which was impossible, because cows don’t live  in the mountains in the winter. I’m not sure if they live in the Sierras in the Summer either, but I did just read an article about Italian cows and how much better their cheese is when they graze in the Alps in the summer months. Here’s a link to a cool graph I found in the abstract.  I’m not sure what it means, but I like it. By the way, here’s a link to the Sonoma Marin Cheese Trail map which I designed. It has met with rave reviews. This version will appear in the next edition of Edible Marin and Wine Country magazine.

So, other than the exceptions noted above, we played our Bingo game pretty strictly by the book.

When I got home, I remembered I had a Bird on Wire in my block-print collection. In fact, I have a whole murder o’ crows on a wire.

Here it is! I win!
